We are welcoming our amazing guest feature Afro-Latina poet from Philly, Afro-Dominicana to close out Hispanic Heritage Month! She is a published poet and Afro-Latina activist who has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer and Speak to My Soul: A Montage of Voices (writer/poet).

About the event

Griot's Garden is an open mic that amplifies the past, present and future of Poetry and spoken word. All are welcomed to sign up for the open mic. Although all ages are welcome, performers are not expected to censor their art. Children may attend under the parent's discretion. 

We will be joined by our guest feature, Afro-Dominicana, Afro-latina poet/activist and educator.

    This is a general admission ticket. Depending on the time you arrive, there may only be standing room available. The ticket does not reserve seating. Please arrive early to secure a seat.
